The Vancouver Club - Craft Beer Society

Craft Beer Society

Inaugural Event

“A quart of Ale is a dish for a king!” – Shakespeare

Discover why James Joyce called beer the “sacred pint,” or why Oscar Wilde would lament that, “work is the curse of the drinking class!” Beer has undergone a renaissance and no longer do spirits or wine alone hold the title of epicurean refreshment.

Join the VC Craft Beer Society monthly as we float through the foam of beer, and stumble to find the edge of the glass. For the novice and expert alike, explore craft beer styles & a selection of small bites with guest Brewmasters from some of Vancouver’s best known breweries, comparing their unique brews against some of the world’s best.

Led by the Club's own beer aficionado, Matthew Dempsey, the inaugural event will examine the craft brewing renaissance and showcase the formative differences between lagers and ales!

Wednesday, May 18
