ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE:
Legendary violinist, violist and conductor Pinchas Zukerman performs Mozart’s most famous violin concerto, as well as partnering with his wife, accomplished cellist Amanda Forsyth, in a performance of Richard Strauss’s great work for viola, cello and orchestra, Don Quixote. This piece is based on the novel Don Quixote de la Mancha by Miguel Cervantes, and tells the famous story of the windmill-tilter and his faithful sidekick, Sancho Panza, in a series of beautiful and expressive musical episodes.
