‘The Botanist’ Islay Dry Gin From Bruichladdich

The first and only gin from Islay is an homage to the enduring and entrepreneurial spirit of Bruichladdich. Crafted from 9 traditional gin aromatics, including orris root and coriander seed, this small batch artisanal gin is augmented by 22 wild indigenous botanicals, expertly hand-picked by a team of foragers from the windswept hills and peat bogs on the Atlantic shore of Islay in the Inner Hebrides Archipelago. 96 points from the Globe and Mail.

Yoichi 10 year Whiskey, Japan.

Masataka Taketsuru, a Master Distiller who studied in Scotland under such names as Longmorn and Hazelburn, founded Yoichi in 1934. While distinctly Japanese, this whiskey is made in the classic Highland style. It received the distinction of Best Japanese Single Malt at the World Whiskey Awards, as well as glowing reviews from whiskey experts such as Michael Jackson and Jim Murray’s Whiskey Bible. 93 points.

Hine Rare Cognac

The house of Hine is one of Cognac’s oldest and finest producers having produced over 250 vintages. For the most part, the mighty house of Hine is situated in the same location where it has been since the 18th century, on the banks of the River Charente, deep in the heart of Cognac. The ancient cellar behind the family home is closely guarded and holds Cognac from all 250 vintages. Trademark hints of Jasmine set this sprit apart from the competition.
