A Message from our President

Dear Vancouver Club community,

Our world has forced us to take pause and, on behalf of your Board of Directors, I wish to thank you for your support as we collectively navigate these uncharted waters.

A small team of management and staff remain on hand, diligently addressing member inquiries, managing the maintenance and engineering concerns of the Club, and strategizing how best to engage members (virtually) while keeping social and physical distancing in mind. We are developing new initiatives to keep members engaged. For example, food and wine delivery will be rolling out in the near future.

Our General Manager, Philip Ireland, has received a number of emails from members expressing concern for our employees who make our experiences at the Club so memorable. Our employees are the backbone of The Vancouver Club. They go above and beyond to take care of members every day and now we must take care of them. To assist our staff through the coming weeks, we are preparing food care packages for them and their families, a practice we hope to continue through the closure. The first package, to be delivered this Thursday, was made possible by the generosity of member Mr Peter Armstrong.

Following last week’s announcements, we have taken careful consideration of the questions coming in from members and have put together a list of frequently asked questions, which follows this letter. Upkeep and expenses of the Club, even in the current state, require and are funded by the dues of members. We appreciate members keeping their accounts up to date, this is vital, especially in a time when we are not able to rely on other sources of income as we would normally.

What we don’t know is what the near future holds, what we do know is both the Board and Management are committed to being in constant contact with these 3 things in mind;

Together we shall see this through.

Sincerely,

Stephanie Burns Staiano
The Vancouver Club President
