Love Your Own Way

The Making Of…

Love Your Own Way

An exploration, a celebration, an invitation.

The Vancouver Club is thrilled to share its “Love Your Own Way” wedding campaign, embracing the individual and celebrating the power of our deepest human connections. In this spirit, the Club invited Ballet BC’s Sidney Chuckas to create a customized choreographed piece that explores the external pressures, internal struggles and victories along one’s journey to find, feel and give love in its most true form.

“Love Your Own Way” celebrates our potential to break through expectations and conventions to experience love in a way that is unique and authentic to us.

We asked a handful of the key contributors what this campaign means to them.

Now, we ask you, what does it mean to Love Your Own Way?

Our team of in-house wedding specialists would be delighted to hear from you. Take the first step toward celebrating your unique love story at The Vancouver Club by contacting us at or 604 331 7003.

Sidney Chuckas

Sidney Chuckas creates and educates through his art spanning the fields of dance, fine art, music, architecture, and technology with a focus on dismantling racial politics and social constructions. His bold and invigorating works explore the possibilities of holistic representation and futuristic worlds, both in the academic and secular landscapes, while working to maintain the necessary recognition of embodied history and intersectionality in the spaces he shares with others.

Dancing since the age of 5 as well as acting, singing, and being a self-taught musician in mostly white spaces, has driven Chuckas to make, collaborate in, and converse with works that strive to honestly share the misrepresented and marginalized narratives of BIPOC and LGBT+ individuals as well as utilize his own diverse experiences across many art forms to engage in others’ work. Chuckas has graduated from the USC Kaufman School of Dance with a minor in Architecture and is now an Emerging Artist with Ballet BC.

Eduardo Ramos
Wardrobe Designer

Mexican-born, Vancouver-based Eduardo Ramos graduated from LaSalle College’s Fashion Design Programme and had already begun gaining momentum in the fashion world. After his outstanding presentations at consecutive Vancouver Fashion Weeks with his Aqua and Bravia collections, Eduardo Ramos debuted on his first European runway in October 2022. Motus, Latin for in motion, was the title of the designer’s ready-to-wear collection at Spring 2023 Paris Fashion Week.

While crafting his Paris Fashion Week collection, Eduardo couldn’t resist the opportunity to take on a new project that is near and dear to his home and heart – designing the perfect wardrobe piece for The Vancouver Club’s 2023 wedding campaign.

The Eduardo Ramos journey continues with a much-anticipated presentation at London Fashion Week in February 2023.
